The 2011 Fab Friday season is over and was once again a great success! Thanks to all of our hosts, and another big shout out to Dineen for coordinating it this year!
Fab Fridays are our after work neighborhood happy hours that take place every other Friday night during the summer. They're big fun, a great way to get to know your neighbors and are family and kid friendly.
So how's this work? KP Neighbors sign up to host a Fab Friday. Each 'host house' supplies modest munchies and a warm and inviting atmosphere for all to attend. They start at 6pm and go until whenever. It's BYOB and neighbors attending just need to bring a chair or two.
Household trash is collected weekly. The City of Columbus has a rotating calendar and color-coded system for trash collection; Kenmore Park's color is GOLD. Trash collection is moved forward one day after every observed holiday. See our trash collection schedule on the calendar.
Yard waste is collected on Fridays; if there is a city-observed holiday during the week, yard waste will be picked up on Saturday.
Columbus offers recycling through drop off locations around the city, as well as a subscription service through Rumpke Recycling.
For information on other Columbus services, visit the City of Columbus website or the 311 Call Center site.
The Greater Linden Development Corp. holds Blockwatch meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. Find general information there along with meeting details.
